What does compostable mean?

Compostable means that a product is capable of breaking down into natural elements in a compost environment. Because it’s broken down into its natural elements it causes no harm to the environment. The breakdown process usually takes about 90 days.

Why are there dark streaks, dots, or splotches on Areca Plates?

Natural Leaf patterns, just like all leaves, every areca palm leaf is unique. The colour and texture depend upon the natural and environmental conditions of the region where the Areca Palm tree is grown.

Can Areca plates be reused?

Envome Areca Palm Leaf plates are intended for single-use.

How long do Areca plates take to compost?​

Areca plates are easily compostable even in your backyards. They can take up to 6 weeks to 8 weeks to degrade.

How long can Areca plates be stored?

​

Areca plates & products must be Shrink wrapped and stored in cool & dry place away from moisture.

Can Areca Plates hold liquids?

​

Yes, Areca Plates can hold any type of food including gravies & other liquids.

Can Areca Plates be used in a microwave, oven, or fridge?

​

Areca leaf plates are microwave safe for up to 2 minutes or in an oven up to 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. They can also be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.

Will the taste of the food be affected?

​

No. Areca plates do not react with food, hence keeping the taste intact without any alteration.

Should Areca Plates be washed before use?

 

Areca plates are meant for ready use, If you wish they can be wiped before use.


Are Areca plates non-toxic and devoid of chemicals?

Areca plates are completely non-toxic, as only leaves and water are used during manufacturing.

How do i dispose the areca plates after use?

​

Envome Areca Palm leaf products can be disposed along with all of your wet or compostable waste, these products are completely home compostable as well and can be used as a fertilizer for your plants.
